Yes. Oblique lets users request access for themselves or for others, and to request to join groups. Access requests can notify users in Slack, and be approved directly in Slack or in Oblique. These create an audit trail of access changes over time.

Yes. Oblique lets you complete user access reviews by centralizing information about what access someone has in your environment. This is done by pulling information from both your identity provider and from direct integrations, so you can get true access in each application. You can review access by app or by user, approve access, or track remediation actions to change or remove access.

Yes, but we don't recommend it. Just-in-time access needs to be instant — when you need prod access, it's an emergency. Oblique relies on your IdP to make changes, which can take tens of minutes. For true just-in-time access, make changes directly to your production environment. Oblique has expiring entitlements that work great for temporary access that doesn't need to be immediate.

No. Oblique works with your existing identity provider (like Okta or Google) to manage groups and entitlements in a centralized, self-serve way. We don't replace your IdP or require changes to your authentication setup.

Yes. Oblique has logs of access requests and access changes over time, which show how a user’s access, or access to an application, changed and why. User access reviews provide decisions at the account level for approving, changing, or revoking access. These can both be provided as evidence to your auditors.

Oblique pulls employee data from your HRIS and pushes group membership updates to your identity provider (like Okta or Google) and other applications directly. We integrate via standard APIs. Learn more about how Oblique works.

Oblique has direct integrations with identity providers (Okta, Google) to pull information about your users and their expected apps, as well as direct integrations for individual applications in your environment. For apps in user access reviews where a direct integration doesn’t exist, you can also provide Oblique with application user lists or screenshots.

No, Oblique works with your existing identity provider, like Google or Okta. We don't replace your IdP or require changes to your authentication setup. Groups created in Oblique are pushed to your IdP, where authentication and enforcement continue to work as they do today. We make the underlying groups and entitlements more manageable.

Yes. When you first deploy Oblique, we recommend you run it in a read-only mode, so that you can better understand your existing access controls and data quality without making any changes. Then, you can make changes at a per resource level, to gradually roll out Oblique to your entire organization. And, Oblique works with multiple simultaneous identity providers, so you can try it out in a test instance before deploying to production.
